GAHospitalPriceCheck.org is
a consumer-friendly website of hospital average charges,
number of cases and average length of stay.The software
program used on this website was produced in part using
computer software created, owned and licensed by the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Information Center, LLC and further developed by the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA). GHA
has also included information about how hospitals support
and give back to their local community, and has provided a compare tool for your use. The quality part
of this report, called, GAHospitalQualityCheck.org
has been available since 2002. Together, the Pricing and
Quality Guides are called Insights 2008, a Consumer Guide
to Georgia Hospitals.

There are three ways to use GAHospitalPriceCheck.

users.
The basic search lets you check charges and information for
about 64 types of conditions, representing about half of all
hospital stays in Georgia. |

A advanced search for health data specialists and others
familiar with medical terminology and coding.
The advanced search offers users the ability to obtain information
about all types of hospital stays in Georgia, including those
found in the basic search. |

The compare tool is for all users.
The compare tool lets you choose up to 3 hospitals in Georgia
to compare charges for a certain type of condition or hospital
stay. |

On average, Georgia consumers spend $4891, per year, on healthcare.
On average, U.S. consumers spend $5247, per year, on healthcare.
Georgians spend $356 less on healthcare than the national
average.
